31-year-old Sadio Mane’s fortunes at the Bundesliga champions have taken a downturn after a disappointing first season following his £35m transfer from Liverpool last summer.
According to reports, Bayern Munich are open to the idea of selling the Senegalese international, with manager Thomas Tuchel expressing his belief that Mane did not meet expectations.
While Mane has engaged in talks with Al-Nassr, a deal with the Saudi club has yet to be finalized.
If Mane decides to move, he would reunite with former Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo at his new club. Additionally, former Red Devil Alex Telles and Croatia international Marcelo Brozovic have also joined the team this summer.
Having enjoyed a successful stint at Anfield, where he won both the Champions League and Premier League, Mane made the move to Germany last year, considering it the right time for a fresh challenge.
However, his time at Bayern has soured, with reports alleging that he punched teammate Leroy Sane following a Champions League loss to Manchester City in April. As a consequence, Mane was dropped from the squad and fined.
During the previous season, Mane featured in 38 games for Bayern Munich, scoring 12 goals. Manager Tuchel acknowledged the intense competition within the squad, making Mane’s starting position far from easy.
“The player is aware of this too and is familiar with my opinion as well as the club’s,” Tuchel stated.
